2023 Election: Latest News From February 25th and 26th

The 2023 Presidential Election was held on Saturday, 25th February, and Sunday, 26th February (for units that had issues on Saturday).

 

As of now, the entire country of Nigeria is in spirals as the results are being collated are broadcasted by INEC.

Indeed, this was not truly a "Free and Fair Election".

Here are the latest news from different sections in Nigeria about the election:

 

1. Agbero Chairman of Itashi Isashi Ojo LGA was beaten to a blood bath as his young thug's escaped while he was captured.

2. In a polling Unit in Warri, INEC did not arrive till 4pm on the 25th, with the excuse that they had forgotten ballot papers.

3. Ekiti released it's total collation on Sunday, with APC in the lead (201,494), PDP in second (89,554) and LP in third place (11,397).

4. Ekiti Officials had two units canceled due to malfunction of BVAs (Bimodal Verification Accreditation System). Outside officials are contesting the credibility of the results, and actual conditions of other polling units in the state.

5. Lagos mainland announced results of APC also in the lead (20,030), LP in second place (18,698) and PDP in third (3002). European Union International observers were also at the scene.

6. An LP official in Lagos Mainland contested the result with a document of the actual results for LP which was about 29 thousand, and also had an official INEC stamp. This is still being debated .

7. The Collation Officer for Zamfara West, Professor Rufus Teniola of the Federal University Gusau, declared All Progressive Congress (APC) Abdulaziz Yari winner with a total of 147,346 to defeat his closest rival Bello S. Fagon of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)who polled 55,83 votes.

8. Agom-Jarigbe who ran on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 76,145 votes against 56,595 votes garnered by Ayade who under the aegis of the All progressives Congress (APC).

9. The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has won the February 25 presidential election in Gombe State.

10. Ohanaeze warns INEC against manipulation; says will lead to anarchy.

11. The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi is leading his counterpart in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu with over 1,000 votes in 17 local government areas (LGAs) in Lagos State.

12. The Nasarawa State chapter of the Labour Party has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, to as a matter of urgency, upload the Presidential and National Assembly election results from across the 13 Local Government Areas of the state on the commission's server.

13. Ogun state releases Presidential result with APC (341,554), LP (85829), PDP (123831), NNPP (2200)

14. Labour Party wins Alimosho LG with LP (71,327), APC (62, 283), PDP (8,201)

15. Dr Tony Nwoye, LP, wins Anambra North Senatorial.

16. Mrs Ireti, LP, wins FCT Senatorial.

17. LP is stated to have gotten 55,547 votes in Amuwo Odofin instead of 45,860 announced by INEC. INEC is said to have corrected it.

18. LP is said to have won 5 LGAs in Plateau State, PDP two and APC none, at the moment.

19. Dennis Nnamdi Agbo, LP, has been announced winner of Igbo-Eze North Constituency in Enugu.

20. The Labour Party (LP) ensured to collect original results from elections for today and yesterday's Presidential and National Assembly Elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). They are preparing to to challenge the outcome in court.

21. Two persons died on Sunday in an attack on the campaign office of a House of Representatives candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano State.

22. PDP Collation Agent slumps, dies.
